For the first time on the stage of Forum Bertarelli, pianists Beatrice Rana and Massimo Spada transform four-hand piano into a kaleidoscope of emotions—ranging from the enchanted world of Ravel, to the nocturnal mystery of Fazıl Say, and the raw power of Stravinsky’s “The Rite of Spring.” Three masterpieces, one unified sonic vision that captivates, stirs, and amazes. A true journey into wonder.

The magnetic charisma of Sergio Bernal, a leading figure in contemporary dance, meets Ravel’s iconic Bolero, Saint-Saëns’ “The Swan”, and vibrant Spanish rhythms in a performance that pulses, builds, and bursts into motion. This is a multisensory experience where rhythm becomes movement and movement transforms into storytelling.

On Saturday, July 26, cellist Mario Brunello will take the stage for a unique recital where the cello and violoncello piccolo engage in a musical dialogue across the centuries. From the infinite lyricism of Bach to the intense depth of Weinberg, the program offers a double journey through instruments, eras, and sonic landscapes. The concert will take place in the warm, resonant setting of the auditorium’s wooden architecture and will be accompanied by a wine tasting featuring selections from ColleMassari Winery.

The flute of Andrea Griminelli, the cello of Silvia Chiesa, and the piano of Maurizio Baglini come together in a refined dialogue of sound, exploring musical watercolors, symbolism, and moving geometries. This evocative program offers a French journey in music—from Debussy to Poulenc, from Goossens to Gaubert—light, poetic, and full of subtle emotion.

A Festival Born in the Heart of Tuscany

Founded in 2005 by Stefan Giesen and pianist Maurizio Baglini, the Amiata Piano Festival has grown into one of Italy’s most prestigious music events.

From its early concerts in the wine cellars of ColleMassari, the festival now takes place in the purpose-built Forum Bertarelli, a concert hall with exceptional natural acoustics designed to showcase music in its purest form.

The artistic direction by Baglini, with cellist Silvia Chiesa as resident artist and producer, brings together global talents performing original programs that span four centuries of music.

Experience an Authentic Tuscany

Surrounded by vineyards, cypress trees, and oak forests, the Monte Amiata area offers a lesser-known, unspoiled side of Tuscany. The festival attracts a cosmopolitan audience from all over the world, drawn by the perfect combination of artistic excellence and natural beauty.
