If you’re planning a trip to Tuscany in early June, Arezzo is the place to be. From May 31 to June 2, 2025, the historic town hosts a festive edition of its beloved Fiera Antiquaria, Italy’s longest-running monthly antiques fair. Celebrating its 57th anniversary, this special edition stretches across three days and turns the entire city into a stage of elegance, culture, and timeless style.
Table of Contents
Fiera Antiquaria: An Open-Air Market with Tuscan Soul
Since 1968, Fiera Antiquaria has been a staple of Arezzo’s identity. Every first weekend of the month, Piazza Grande and the streets of the historic center fill with hundreds of exhibitors offering vintage treasures, art pieces, antique furniture, jewelry, books, and collectible curiosities.

For this celebratory edition, the city goes all-in, dressing up with a full calendar of cultural, artistic, and musical events that make the experience even more immersive and unforgettable for visitors.

Art, History and Hidden Gems
Among the most anticipated novelties is the reopening of the Piccolo Corridoio Vasariano, a lesser-known Vasari corridor that will be part of a curated itinerary including the Gold Museum and the Palazzo di Fraternita / House of Music. Guided tours (in Italian, 10€, reservation required) will depart from the Logge Vasari and also include free entry to Casa Petrarca and the Carousel Museum in Piazza Libertà. Tour slots are available at 11:00 and 12:00 in the morning and 15:00, 16:00, and 17:00 in the afternoon, each day of the event.

Nearby, the same Logge Vasari will showcase a new contemporary art line, Sarcastic Collage, with artworks inspired by Arezzo’s cultural heritage.
At the Cloister of the Public Library, from 10 AM to 7 PM, international Urban Sketchers will be on-site capturing scenes of the city in watercolor notebooks. The space will also host an exhibit by the Cenacolo degli Artisti, including live sketching demos and creative workshops for children.
Dandy Days, Music and Flag Throwers
The fair coincides with the ninth edition of Dandy Days, a gathering of Italian dandies who will parade through the city streets with vintage cars, historical bicycles, and retro fashion shows. Expect old-world charm and a good dose of eccentricity.

On Saturday, May 31, the streets come alive with the Musicians of the Saracen Joust marching through the old town from 4 PM. On Sunday, June 1, at 11 AM, the flag throwers of the same medieval joust tradition will perform in Piazza Grande, showcasing one of Arezzo’s proudest historical customs.
That same morning, the National Museum of Medieval and Modern Art offers a free guided experience called “A Dive into the Renaissance”, led by a character representing a 15th-century English painter who narrates the world of early Renaissance female artists.
Art lovers can also head to the Medicean Fortress, where the Guido d’Arezzo Foundation presents an open-air painting session curated by artist Mariangela Baldi.

Live Music in Historic Venues
Sunday’s musical program begins with the Concerto Musicale del Mezzogiorno, performed by the Filarmonica Guido Monaco from the windows and terrace of the Palazzo della Fraternita dei Laici, overlooking Piazza Grande—a magical Tuscan moment.

In the evening, the Cloister of the Library will host a series of performances: the Orchestra a Plettro Città di Arezzo playing vintage classics, a cabaret show by Tortaia Friend’s, and a swing/pop concert by Angel’s Pop Core. Later that night, at 8:30 PM, the Caurum Hall Auditorium will welcome the Orchestra of the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, conducted by Cornelius Meister, with mezzo-soprano Monica Bacelli, for a special Republic Day concert.
On Monday, June 2, from 4 PM to 6 PM, the Trio Belle Époque offers a musical journey through time, followed by a fashion show inspired by Oscar Wilde on the cathedral steps—one of the highlights of the Dandy Days gathering.
