The experience

In a fully immersive environment, the adventures of Pinocchio unfold through breathtaking projections. Visitors are invited to follow his journey—from Geppetto’s workshop to the encounters with unforgettable characters such as the Talking Cricket, the Blue Fairy, the Cat, and the Fox.

The exhibition is structured in short narrative chapters that mix humor, emotion, and imagination. A rich, cinematic soundtrack enhances every moment, turning the visit into a moving sensory experience.

Virtual reality and digital creativity

Those who choose the VIP ticket can enjoy two interactive activities located in the crypt of the building:

Inside Pinocchio VR Experience – Using virtual reality headsets, visitors step directly into Pinocchio’s world and experience the story through his eyes.

Lavagna Magica (Magic Blackboard) – A creative digital space where guests can draw and play within Pinocchio’s universe in an engaging and imaginative way.

Carlo Collodi and the origins of Pinocchio

The author of The Adventures of Pinocchio, Carlo Lorenzini, was born in Florence in 1826 and adopted the pen name Collodi, after the Tuscan village where he spent his childhood.

After working as a journalist and participating in the Italian unification movement, Collodi began writing for children. The first chapters of Le avventure di Pinocchio: storia di un burattino appeared in 1881 in Giornale per i Bambini and were published as a book two years later.

The story’s success was immediate. Since then, the little wooden puppet born in a Tuscan workshop has become a global icon, inspiring countless film and TV adaptations — including those by Walt Disney (1940), Luigi Comencini (1972), Roberto Benigni (2019), and Guillermo del Toro (2022).
