Mona Lisa in real life – When creativity meets technology, the result can be pure magic. Or perhaps an overdose of reality. Either way, three young individuals named Nathan Shipley, Elad Richardson, and Yuval Alaluf came together on an exciting project: they developed a technology capable of recreating the faces of people who lived centuries ago, before the invention of the camera.
Take, for example, one of the world’s most famous paintings by the Italian artist Leonardo Da Vinci… I am referring, of course, to the Gioconda, also known as the Mona Lisa or Monna Lisa. Have you ever wondered what the Mona Lisa would look like in real life? Thanks to the technology called pixel2style2pixel invented by these guys, it’s now possible. From what I understand, this tool is extremely powerful and can be used in many ways. However, the focus of this article is not to delve into technical details but to explore the life of the woman who lived in the past.
The Real-Life Mona Lisa
In the era when the Mona Lisa lived, cameras did not yet exist. The only way to record someone’s face for “posterity” was through painting or sculpture.
Leonardo Da Vinci painted the Mona Lisa’s portrait around 1503-1506, and his painting would become one of the most visited artworks in the Louvre Museum in France.

Who Was Mona Lisa in Real Life
According to Giorgio Vasari, the Mona Lisa was named Lisa di Antonmaria Gherardini or Lisa del Giocondo.
She was born in Florence in 1479 and died on July 15, 1542, also in Florence. Vasari states that she was part of the Florentine aristocratic family of the Gherardinis of Montagliari, and the famous painting, now in the Louvre, was commissioned from Leonardo da Vinci by her husband Francesco del Giocondo.

And you, what did you feel upon seeing the real Mona Lisa? Could you imagine Mona Lisa walking through the center of Florence next to the Duomo? Indeed, the famous cathedral of Florence had its renowned dome completed in 1436, thanks to the talent of Brunelleschi.
