12 Florence Airport Routes with Volotea Airlines – Inauguration of the Seventh Base in Italy

Inauguration of the new Volotea base at Florence Airport

The low-cost airline Volotea inaugurated its seventh base in Italy and nineteenth in Europe in Florence in April.

After announcing its investment in November of last year, the low-cost airline has now established a presence at the Tuscan airport, where it will be possible to take off to seven international destinations and five domestic destinations, totaling 12 routes, eight of which are exclusive. Volotea becomes the airline with the largest number of routes operated at Florence Airport.

The airline officially announced the inauguration of its new base on April 7th, 2023, with a special ceremony attended by Valeria Rebasti, Italy and Southeast Europe Country Manager of Volotea, along with Roberto Naldi, CEO of Toscana Aeroporti.

Since its debut, the low-cost airline has had a very high recommendation rate of satisfied passengers, around 90%, which means that more than 9 out of 10 passengers would recommend Volotea to friends and family. This result demonstrates not only the great reliability of the carrier, but also its continuous commitment to best meet the travel needs of its customers, offering comfortable and punctual flights, with competitive fares starting at €9 for passengers who have joined Megavolotea membership program.

The Florence Airport routes include Volotea flights to/from Palermo, Catania, Bari, Cagliari, and Olbia among the destinations within Italy, and Marseille, Lyon, Bordeaux, Nantes, Toulouse, Bilbao, and Hamburg among the European destinations.

With the opening of its seventh Italian base in Florence, Volotea consolidates as the first airline in terms of routes at the airport. This inauguration is the result of an investment by the company in partnership with Toscana Aeroporti, which will offer Tuscan passengers 12 routes, eight of which are exclusive, connecting seven cities in Europe and five in Italy.
