From September 2 to 14, 2025, Florence turns into an open-air stage with the Florence Jazz Festival 2025, one of the highlights of the Florentine summer. Now in its ninth edition, the festival brings together over 100 artists, 30 events, and 9 venues, filling the city with jazz, hybrid rhythms, and global influences.

Florence Jazz Festival 2025: what’s new this year
The theme of the 2025 edition is “Connected”, a concept that goes beyond sound to embrace people, places, generations, and artistic languages.
The festival’s visual identity is designed by PixelPancho, one of Italy’s most renowned street artists, known for transforming urban visions into symbols of evolving humanity.
This year, the festival spreads across Florence in an immersive journey: from intimate bistros to hidden gardens, historic villas, and the city’s most iconic piazzas, with the Ernesto De Pascale Amphitheater at Le Cascine Park serving as the main stage.

Highlights on the main stage
The festival’s centerpiece takes place from September 12 to 14 at Le Cascine Amphitheater. Opening night features London’s Alfa Mist (09/12), who blends jazz and hip-hop with cinematic flair.
On September 13, the stage hosts Bassolino, Coca Puma, and the legendary Planet Funk, a band that marked a generation with its unique mix of electronic and pop sounds.
The final evening on September 14 is free to the public and celebrates expressive freedom with the Swiss collective Orchestre Tout Puissant Marcel Duchamp and poet-saxophonist Alabaster DePlume.
Guests can also enjoy a complimentary glass of Chianti Rufina, combining music, conviviality, and local tradition.
Beyond jazz: unique locations and experiences
The Florence Jazz Festival is more than concerts—it’s a city-wide experience.
Venues like Villa Bardini, Forte Belvedere, Limonaia di Villa Strozzi, Santa Rosa Bistrot, and Camping in Town will host a diverse lineup ranging from Chicago’s Isaiah Collier to the pan-Latin sounds of the Simona Palumbo Latin Quartet, the delicate guitar of Eleonora Strino, and the experimental dialogues of Gianluca Petrella and Pasquale Mirra.
Other highlights include the Wine Talks – Conversations Around a Glass, organized with Consorzio Chianti Rufina, where culture, wine, and storytelling come together. The digital side of the festival will also shine with Vanessa Reidt offering behind-the-scenes coverage and Marco Maccarini hosting the main stage.
Extra events and sustainability focus
Accessibility and sustainability remain central. Thanks to Autolinee Toscane, free shuttles will connect festival venues, encouraging eco-friendly transport.
The program goes beyond the main dates: it opens on September 1 with Vocal Blue Trains, continues in Empoli on September 16 with the Organ Trio Bernstein-Gatto-Lanzoni, and officially closes on September 28 at the Parco Mediceo di Pratolino with Silvia Bolognesi’s Jungle Duke, a visionary tribute to Duke Ellington.
