Florence's Selfie Museum

This museum invites visitors to snap selfies and be photographed, making it a contemporary art space that’s a perfect fit for the city of art.

Aside from the usual tour, the Selfie Museum is also available for private events, which could be a fun way to bring friends together.

Florence's Selfie Museum

The Selfie Museum originally hails from Los Angeles, where it was founded in 2014 by Adrien Berlin, a photographer and art director. Berlin organized exclusive events and parties in his photo studio, using materials and set design elements provided by artists, directors, and scenographers.

The events were so successful that Berlin decided to expand and create a network of more than 400 international artists to organize pop-up selfie museums around the world during fashion, design, cinema, and music events.

Florence's Selfie Museum: "Inspiration is all around you"

After taking a break due to the pandemic, Berlin moved to Europe in 2021 and started bringing the selfie museum format to other cities.

He collaborated with some artist friends who live in Florence, such as Stefano Fake & The Fake Factory, to open the first Selfie Museum in Florence on October 7, 2021. Berlin has ambitious plans to open Selfie Museums in 14 other Italian and European cities in 2022/2023.

Street Art inside a Museum

Street art was born as a symbol of peaceful and colorful struggle to raise awareness and unite people. From the first graffiti that appeared in the ghettos of large cities to today, we have witnessed an explosion of works and murals in every place in the world.

There are no longer just writers who anonymously color the walls of the subways, but real artists who are involved to redesign neighborhoods and create beauty.

In recent years, street art has even made its way into museums, giving it a new platform for recognition and appreciation.

These exhibitions not only celebrate the beauty and creativity of street art, but also provide a deeper understanding of its cultural and political significance.

Street art is no longer just a symbol of rebellion and protest, but an established form of contemporary art that continues to evolve and inspire.
