Looking for the best outlets in Tuscany? You’re in the right place! In this article, I’ll guide you through the top outlets in the region, with a special focus on those perfect for travelers staying in Florence who want to save on big-name brands.

The Best Outlets in Tuscany

Tuscany is world-famous for its breathtaking landscapes, renowned wines, and charming historic towns — but it also holds a secret that delights shopping lovers: luxury brand outlets with irresistible discounts.

There are basically three major outlets in Tuscany, all designed like open-air shopping centers. During weekdays, you’ll usually find them less crowded, but on weekends, public holidays, and at the start of the seasonal sales (the famous Saldi), they can get particularly busy.

To visit these outlets comfortably and at your own pace, consider driving — our guide to renting a car in Florence explains everything you need to know before hitting the road.

Let’s explore the three main outlets in Tuscany:

The Mall Firenze: A Paradise of Luxury Brands

Opening Hours: Every day, 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM

Located about 40 minutes from downtown Florence, The Mall Firenze is the best-known and most popular outlet for those seeking luxury brands in Tuscany.

For those who prefer to avoid paying highway tolls, there’s the option of taking smaller (and winding) local roads for free. But be careful — there are speed cameras along the way, especially near villages, where the speed limit drops to 50 km/h.

From Florence: take the Bolognese SS65 state road, continue to Fiesole, and follow the route toward San Piero a Sieve / Barberino di Mugello.
From Prato and Florence: follow provincial road no. 8 from Calenzano toward “Le Croci.” Continue in the direction of Barberino, and when you reach Cavallina, turn left.

Tips for Enjoying Tuscany’s Outlets

These Tuscany outlets are open almost every day of the year, including many national holidays in Italy. Still, always double-check opening hours for your visit. From personal experience, if the outlet is closed, most other shops across Tuscany will be too!

Some stores offer Tax-Free forms for purchases over €70 — a way for non-EU residents to save extra. The process involves getting a customs stamp at the airport, so be sure to read up on the details in advance.

Heading to Milan? Check out the Scalo Milano outlet.

And while outlets are great for clothes and accessories, if you’re looking to buy electronics, don’t overlook Amazon Italy. You can now use Amazon Lockers in many Tuscan cities — secure pick-up points inside local shops. After adding your item to the cart (carrello in Italian), look for “Ritiro GRATUITO disponibile nelle vicinanze” to select a locker.
