How to Store Fresh Truffles
To properly store fresh truffles, wrap them in a sheet of paper towel, place them in a sealed glass jar, and keep the jar in the fruit compartment of your refrigerator. Be sure to change the paper every day and wipe away any condensation that may form inside the jar.
With this method, fresh truffles can be stored for a short period — black truffles can last around 5 to 6 days, while white truffles are more delicate and should ideally be consumed within 2 to 3 days. In general, it’s always best to enjoy your truffles as soon as possible, especially the prized white truffle, which spoils easily when fully mature.
