The new agreement with Toscana Aeroporti will improve connectivity and contribute to the growth of passengers in the coming years. Ryanair’s summer 2023 schedule from Pisa includes 54 routes, with 5 new destinations for city breaks such as Birmingham, Copenhagen, Glasgow, Stockholm, and the exciting new summer destination of Kos.

The summer schedule will see Ryanair basing 8 aircraft, including 3 “Gamechanger” planes at Pisa airport, with an investment of $800 million. It represents a +14% growth compared to pre-Covid levels and an increase in frequencies on over 20 routes, including Barcelona, Berlin, Cagliari, Chania, Malta, Marrakech, Valencia, and Zara. The expansion will create over 2,800 local jobs, including 240 for pilots, cabin crew, and engineers.

Ryanair has successfully operated from and to Pisa for the last 25 years, transporting over 47 million passengers and investing significantly in the Tuscany region.

This summer, the airline will operate over 500 weekly flights from Pisa, further boosting inbound tourism and employment and offering Tuscan customers the widest choice at the lowest fares for their summer holidays.

To celebrate 25 years of operations at Pisa, Ryanair is offering customers the chance to book one of the 5 new routes for summer 2023 from just €25 for travel between April and October 2023.

The Director of Commercial for Ryanair, Jason McGuinness, said, “On the occasion of Ryanair’s 25th anniversary of operations in Pisa, we are pleased to announce our largest-ever summer schedule (+14% compared to pre-Covid), with 5 new routes to Birmingham, Copenhagen, Kos, Glasgow, and Stockholm, offering citizens and visitors of Pisa an even wider choice for their summer holidays at the lowest fares in Europe.”

Ryanair’s partnership with Toscana Aeroporti has been long-term and successful, and the new agreement will help to increase inbound tourism and improve connectivity in the coming years. With 8 aircraft based at Pisa, representing an investment of $800 million, and supporting over 240 highly paid aviation jobs, Ryanair continues to guarantee more traffic, more jobs, and lower fares than any other airline for Italy.
