The 2026 program includes some of Puccini’s most beloved operas, including Turandot, Tosca, La Bohème, Madama Butterfly, and La Fanciulla del West, along with special gala evenings and additional events connected to the festival.

Where the Puccini Festival Takes Place

The Puccini Festival takes place at the Gran Teatro all’aperto Giacomo Puccini in Torre del Lago, a lakeside town between Viareggio and Pisa. The open-air theater is one of the most distinctive opera venues in Tuscany, especially for visitors who want an evening experience that feels strongly connected to the landscape and to Puccini’s own life.

Torre del Lago is a practical option if you are staying in Viareggio, Lido di Camaiore, Forte dei Marmi, Lucca, or Pisa. It can also work from Florence, but for an evening performance, staying closer to the coast or in Lucca may make the experience more relaxed.
