A Unique and Intense Exhibition
Palazzo Strozzi presents the largest exhibition ever held in Italy on Tracey Emin, a British artist known for her raw and emotional approach.

Curated by Arturo Galansino, the exhibition features over 60 works that explore themes such as the body, desire, love, and solitude, spanning from the 1990s to newly created works specifically for this exhibition.
The show includes paintings, drawings, videos, photographs, and sculptures, as well as works using techniques such as embroidery, bronze, and neon.
Emin transforms her personal experiences into art, addressing her emotional and physical history, including her recent battle with cancer. Her iconic works, including striking neon phrases and evocative sculptures, make this exhibition an intense and unforgettable experience.
Tracey Emin: An Artist Without Censorship
Born in 1963 in London, Tracey Emin grew up in the coastal town of Margate. Her autobiographical approach has made her internationally renowned, and her installation My Bed (1999), nominated for the Turner Prize, was a turning point in her career.

When the work was nominated for the Turner Prize in 1999 and exhibited at the Tate Gallery, it captured global attention. This symbolic self-portrait, born from a moment of deep instability, marked a turning point for Emin, establishing her as one of the most significant voices in contemporary art.
Since then, Emin represented the UK at the 2007 Venice Biennale, became a professor at the Royal Academy, and was recently appointed Dame for her contributions to the art world.
Beyond her individual work, Emin recently inaugurated the Tracey Karima Emin (TKE) Studios, a professional space for artists offering a free artist residency, reinforcing her commitment to the next generation of creatives.
