Republic Day in Italy- On Friday, June 2, 2023, the idyllic region of Tuscany, along with the rest of Italy, will celebrate the Festa della Repubblica in grand style. For the first time in the history of the Italian Republic, state museums and archaeological parks will be open to the public for free, as proposed by the Minister of Culture, Gennaro Sangiuliano.

This initiative is an extension of the well-known #domenicalmuseo program that offers free access to various cultural attractions on twelve specific days throughout the year. Now, to these, three more dates have been added: April 25th, June 2nd, and November 4th.

Known worldwide for its rich historic, artistic, and cultural treasures, Italy, particularly Tuscany, is a haven for history and art lovers alike. In Florence, for instance, renowned and highly sought-after museums such as the Pitti Palace, Uffizi, Galleria dell’Accademia and Bargello have confirmed free admission.
