Secret Florence, Contemporary Art Festival

The opening takes place on June 5 with the eighth edition of “Secret Florence“, a contemporary art festival that reveals itself in the city’s less conventional locations.

Five internationally renowned entities based in Florence – Fabbrica Europa, Lo Schermo dell’arte, Musicus Concentus, Tempo Reale, and Centro di Produzione della Danza Virgilio Sieni – will fill the city’s vital spaces with dance, music, art, and cinema, adapting to the architecture and acoustics of each place.

This unique festival extends until June 16, with free admission or very affordable prices.

La Città dei Lettori, Itinerant Literary Festival

As part of the Florentine Summer, we also have the new edition of “La Città dei Lettori“, an itinerant literary festival organized by the Associazione Wimbledon that will travel through several cities in Tuscany.

From June 7 to 11, great names of Italian literature will meet at Villa Bardini, including Vera Gheno, Marco Malvaldi, Mario Desiati, Leonardo Gori, Marco Vichi, and Fabio Genovesi.

Sagrati in Musica sotto Le Stelle, Free Musical Encounters in Florence

From June 9 until September 15, the concerts of “Sagrati in Musica sotto le stelle” will take over the city. Organized by the Associazione Toscana Classica, the event presents 23 free musical encounters covering various genres, from classical to jazz, through rock and electronic music. The idea is to educate the public for conscious listening, revitalizing the environment around the involved churches.

Firenze dall’Alto, to admire the city from the most beautiful terraces

This is a cycle of initiatives that presents the city from the new and privileged views of the roofs and terraces of its buildings.

Concerts, lectures, performances, and guided tours provide an immersive and engaging experience from June to September: 10 encounters, 10 points of view, 10 distinct cultural experiences to illustrate Florence of today and tomorrow in its relationship with the territory, communities, and the challenges of contemporaneity.
