Bryan Adams, the Canadian rocker behind Summer of ’69, Heaven and (Everything I Do) I Do It for You, is closing his 2027 Italian tour in Florence on Monday, February 8, 2027, at the Teatro del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino.
This is not an arena show. The tour is called Bare Bones, and it is acoustic: his voice, a guitar and more than four decades of songs, in a theater where every seat is close to the stage. Here is everything you need to know about tickets, the venue and how to turn the concert into a winter trip to Tuscany.

Bare Bones: Just the Voice, the Guitar and the Songs
Bare Bones strips everything back. According to the organizers, there is no big production and no arena stage: just Bryan Adams’s unmistakable voice, a guitar and songs that have crossed generations. It is a concert to listen to up close, seated, catching every line.
He has done this before. In 2010 he released the live album Bare Bones, recorded on an acoustic tour with Adams on guitar, harmonica and vocals and Gary Breit on piano. He brought the format to Italy in June 2026, at the Teatro Antico in Taormina, Sicily.
His most recent album is Roll With The Punches (2025), the first record of new songs released on his own independent label, Bad Records:
From Summer of ’69 to Heaven: The Songs Everyone Knows
Born on November 5, 1959, in Kingston, Ontario, Bryan Adams is a singer, songwriter, producer and photographer. Over his career he has been nominated for three Academy Awards and five Golden Globes.
His biggest record came in 1991 with (Everything I Do) I Do It for You, from Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves. The song spent 16 consecutive weeks at No. 1 on the UK Singles Chart, a record at the time, and won him a Grammy:
Six years earlier, in 1985, he had released Summer of ’69, the nostalgic anthem that gets every crowd singing:

Add Heaven, Run to You and Please Forgive Me, and you have a catalog most of the audience knows by heart. This live version of Heaven, recorded in Lisbon, shows what happens when the crowd takes over the chorus:
Tuscany knows him well: in July 2025 he played Piazza Napoleone at the Lucca Summer Festival. A theater show in Florence is a very different, much more intimate night.
Getting to Teatro del Maggio
The Teatro del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino is Florence’s modern opera house, at Piazza Vittorio Gui 1, next to the old Leopolda station and close to the Parco delle Cascine. From Santa Maria Novella, the main train station, it is a 10 to 15 minute walk, or one stop on tram line T1 to Porta al Prato.
The theater sits just outside the ZTL, Florence’s limited traffic zone, so you can reach it by car without entering the restricted area. There is paid parking at Porta al Prato and other options around the Cascine. If you are flying in, see our guide on how to get from Florence Airport to the city center.
A Monday in Florence, and a Carnival Weekend
Still need a place to stay? See our guide to the best hotels in Florence. Hotels near Santa Maria Novella or Porta al Prato put you within walking distance of the theater.
One thing to plan around: on Mondays, the Uffizi and the Accademia, home of Michelangelo’s David, are closed. Save them for the weekend and spend Monday at the Artemisia Gentileschi exhibition at the Museo degli Innocenti, which runs through April 4, 2027, and is open on Mondays. Our guide to things to do in Florence on Mondays lists the museums and monuments that stay open, from the Duomo complex to Palazzo Vecchio.
February is also carnival season. The Viareggio Carnival holds parades on Sunday, February 7, and on Fat Tuesday, February 9, the days right before and after the concert, so you can easily build a long weekend around both. Arriving earlier? The Florence Carnival takes place on January 30 and 31, 2027.
