From July 23 to 28, the charming town of Montalcino, located in the province of Siena, will host the 27th edition of this unique festival. The event is a result of the collaboration between the renowned Banfi winery, the Rubei family of the Alexanderplatz Jazz Club in Rome, and the Municipality of Montalcino.

Known for its impeccable organization and artistic originality, the festival attracts some of the biggest names in the jazz world. This year’s edition features performances by renowned artists such as John Scofield, Dave Holland, Aymée Nuviola, Andy James, Tosca, and Jany McPherson.

July 23 – Jany McPherson Trio

The festival kicks off with Cuban pianist, singer, and composer Jany McPherson and her trio, performing “A Long Way” in the stunning setting of Castello Banfi. McPherson, accompanied by Yoann Serra on drums and Massimo Moriconi on double bass, promises an unforgettable night.

July 24 – John Scofield / Dave Holland Duo

The following day, the festival welcomes two legends of contemporary jazz: John Scofield and Dave Holland. This encounter promises a unique and captivating musical dialogue, allowing the audience to enjoy the talent of these jazz giants up close.

July 25 – Eddie Gomez Trio with Kind of Bill

The magic continues at the Montalcino Fortress with a tribute to Bill Evans by the Eddie Gomez Trio, joined by pianist Dado Moroni and drummer Joe La Barbera. The evening will be dedicated to the memory and compositions of Evans, as well as original works by the musicians.

July 26 – Tosca with La Bella Estate

Friday will feature the talented Italian singer Tosca, who will take the stage at the Montalcino Fortress with her show “La Bella Estate.” Accompanied by a sextet including Giovanna Famulari and Massimo de Lorenzi, Tosca will enchant the audience with her voice and performance.

July 27 – Andy James & Jon Cowherd All Star

On the penultimate day, the festival presents Andy James and Jon Cowherd All Star, with special guest Mino Cinelu. July 28 – Aymée Nuviola Quintet
